TAMBA and the SLT BMX Association are working together to build our community a Pump Track and Mountain Bike Skills Park!
The park will be located in Bijou Community Park, near other community recreation features like the skate park and disc golf course. In addition, our current BMX track will be relocated from it’s current location behind the middle school to accompany it!
We are currently in the design and permitting stage of the Bijou Bike Park. At this time there is no funding from the City or other entities. Therefore a local volunteer team who works at Design Workshop, TRPA, USFS, and the City of South Lake Tahoe are donating time to put together documents that will permit and implement the bike park. Simultaneously a bike park design consultant called Alpine Bike Parks from Whistler, BC is designing all the specific bike elements. A complete set of construction documents is expected later this summer.
That being said, we need YOUR help! We need to raise a lot of money to build this park! So come join us as we kick-start the fundraising process. 100% off the proceeds from the party will benefit the bike park.
